cher kitty,
36 weeks
went in for this week’s doctor’s appointment and my blood pressure was 190/118.
immediately they wanted to put me in the hospital and deliver me.
after 30 minutes and changing my position they got my blood pressure to go down to something not so scary and decided to try to let me go until 37 weeks with a visit in between to make sure i’m okay.
i’m still freaking out and crying, i’m afraid to die.
lover pie,
of course, ton anglais est tres bon!
delilah et moi sont bien, they let us go home from the hospital, i just have to be more careful from now on.
we are going to the doctor on thursday and we will have an ultrasound to check her again, i’ll send you pictures :)
don’t worry!
but you need to be careful too, you crazy! when you come to america i am not letting you drive.
bisous lover pie :)
lover pie,
Qu’est-il arrivé à votre cou?!
Labor and Delivery visit
This afternoon I took a quick shower and got dressed for our birth class tonight. I brushed my teeth and then went to wipe my mouth on the towel I just used for my shower when I noticed blood on it. I “checked” myself and there wasn’t any more blood, but I was still concerned and not sure where the blood came from. I was running late though so I started driving to class and called Daniel. I thought maybe he cut himself shaving this morning and that would explain the blood, but it wasn’t the case and the blood was bright red, if it was his from the morning then it would have dried and darkened. Daniel remembered from our birth classes that I should call my doctor if I have any bleeding so I did. The on-call urgent nurse told me to go ahead to my class and tell my instructor what I was experiencing (the instructor is a labor and delivery nurse). Daniel and I called the instructor out into the hall and she advised that we go to the emergency room or labor and delivery. We went to labor and delivery where they set me and Daniel up in a room. When I was changing into the hospital gown Daniel noticed I had blood running down the back of my right leg and I also had some blood on the front of my left leg and on the back of my pants. The nurse put me on a fetal monitor to check Delilah, her heart beat had all the appropriate rhythms, etc, but they also noticed I was having consistent contractions! They ordered an ultrasound and checked my cervix, everything seemed to be fine and they couldn’t figure out where the blood was coming from.. so weird. I’m not dilated and Delilah hasn’t dropped yet, but since the nurse pointed out that this feeling I have regularly and always thought was Delilah pushing out is actually mild contractions I can’t stop thinking about it. I was already on bed rest, but after this I’m actually going to take it seriously.. It’s hard, but after being so scared for my little baby tonight I’ll do anything to make sure she stays healthy.
We had a “for fun” 3D ultrasound done today and got to see what our little lady looks like. She slept the entire 20 minutes no matter how hard we poked and nudged her, a good sleeper like me! She also had her face pressed up against the placenta and it looked so funny like she was squishing her face up against a glass window so her nose is squished in most of the pictures, but we did get her to move enough once to see she has Daniel’s nose! She’s so sweet. I feel bad now, after seeing what an angel she is, for getting upset about my sore ribs and stretch marks. I love her, I hope she comes out soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!
